Goodbye 2015! HELLO 2016!

HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS!! I hope you all have an amazing end to 2015 and are more than excited to see what 2016 has in store! I am definitely so excited.
The thought of the unknown and the chance to "start afresh" is one of the reasons why I love the New Year so much. The New Year marks a new symbolic chapter in life, time to close the previous chapter and begin writing a new one. I don’t believe in ‘leaving things or people’ behind, but I do believe in the notion of learning and evolving from them. Everything that happened in 2015, good or bad; has helped mould us in the people we are today. I think if you leave things behind without really assessing them, you’re open to repeating these lessons or getting these things back, just in a different way.
I also don't really believe in making resolutions because I feel people end up putting wayyy too much pressure on themselves and tend to end up failing. Why should you wait until a new year to suddenly make a whole number of huge changes when every day is an opportunity to keeping working on yourself, to become the person you really want to be? I do however, believe in setting new goals and the New Year gives people that extra push needed. Plus what better time of the year, to really analyse, reflect and evaluate all the choices and decisions you made last year, how they impacted you, whether they led you closer to your goals or further away (not that there is anything wrong with that). Then to use that as motivation to keep persevering and pushing forward. Setting small and achievable goals throughout the New Year; with each step taking you even closer to where you want to be.
Even if it seems you’re so far, and cannot see the light, you will make a breakthrough, sometimes others will see it before you do. The most important thing when setting your goals for the new year is to NEVER compare yourself and goals to someone else, a baby step to them, may be a gigantic step to you, and your personal growth and happiness is all that counts. Plus, hopes and dreams are subjective and the words alone mean such different things to each individual people. No two people will ever have the exact same hopes and dreams or idea on how to reach them as no two people are the same, and that's fine. It's what makes us human.
But I'm beginning to ramble a bit, so I'm going to wrap it up now. So, let me know if you guys have any "resolutions" and how they are going so far!

Just smile and here is to making 2016 the best year yet :)
